i picked one up at my job a few weeks ago,we are in the heatin field and became a generac dealer and service fore stand alone systems.
we have sold alot of gp model xg and 10 kw to 20 kw with the nexis pannel . we had no problems so fare with aney portable or stand alone system.
i am a certified repair teck and fell in love with ther desine and looks,if ther was some thing better fore the price i would look into that too.
we also deal with honewell genes and koler i still went with generac.i had a 4000watt made in china gen fore 3 years no problems did what it could do
but after that lovley oct storm i wanted bigger. i ordered xg 6500 2 months later it arived at my job brought it home fuled it up and put oil in it.
4 pulls fired up no problem. 3 days later lost power about 7 pm ,cool finaley get to try my new toy.i was not dissopnted at all i did want to test
it in a real outage . did try it after wiring it to the panell but onley 15 min ,this time was fore real .
ran it fore about 3 hrs before bed ran 2 space heaters just to see if it could no problem 2 refegrators deep frezzer gas furnce 52 in lcd tv direct tv box
and ps3 and a few lights no problem even when on the furnce blower turned on did not evev bog down .yes at the same time..
i love my generac xg i felt it was a good buy . and have my frends lookin into them too.
